Within the framework of the WeGenerate project and its collaboration with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), students from the “Strategic Design” course visited Alcabideche to gain first-hand insight into the Portuguese pilot.

 

The visit, attended by five students, provided a comprehensive overview of the pilot buildings located in Cascais. Participants explored the implemented technical solutions, reviewed the current stage of development, and discussed the operational and regulatory challenges associated with the pilot’s implementation.

 

The initiative offered students valuable, practice-based knowledge to support the project plan they will develop throughout the course. By connecting academic work with real-life demonstration activities, the collaboration reinforces both the practical relevance of the WeGenerate project outcomes and the students’ capacity for critical and applied learning.
