The WeGenerate project was presented at the ISHVAC 2025 Conference, where initial results and approaches were shared with an international audience of experts.

 

During the conference, Laura Aelenei from LNEG (the Portugueses National Laboratory for Energy and Geology), a partner in the WeGenerate project, participated both as a session chair and as a presenter. The presentation focused on urban regeneration solutions implemented in Portugal, with particular emphasis on the role of solar energy and energy communities in mitigating energy poverty and empowering social neighbourhoods.

 

LNEG is actively involved in the WeGenerate Cascais Demo Local Circle, contributing technical expertise and research capacity to support the development and implementation of inclusive, sustainable energy solutions at the local level.

 

The ISHVAC Conference provided a valuable platform to disseminate early WeGenerate insights and to exchange knowledge with researchers, practitioners, and policymakers working on energy transition and urban regeneration.
